ARTICLE XII
This Treaty, executed in Siamese and English, both versions
having the same meaning and intention, and the ratifications
there of having been previously exchanged, shall take effect
from the 6th day of April, in the year 1856 of the Christian era,
corresponding to the 1st day of the 5th month of the 1218th year
of the Siamese Civil era.
In witness whereof, the above-named Plenipotentiaries
have signed and sealed the present Treaty, in quadruplicate, at
Bangkok, on the 18th day of April, in the year 1855 of the Christian
era, corresponding to the 2nd day of the 6th month of the 1217th
year of the Siamese Civil era.
