การใช้ as well as และ both… and

2. การใช้ although, however, in spite of, despite, although, however ใช้ในข้อความที่มีความ
ขัดแ ย้งกัน
2.1 although/though มีค วามหมายเหมือนกัน มีค วามห มายว่า “แม้ว่า”
although / though + clause, clause
clause + although / though + clause
clause + though (ในกรณีน ี้มีความหมายเหมือนกับ however)
** though เป็นค �ำท ่ีใช้ในภ าษาท ี่ไม่เป็นทางการ (informal)
Example
— Our computer imports are increasing every year (though) although they remained constant
in the f irst few years.
— (Though) Although our computer imports remained constant in the f irst few years, they
are now increasing sharply.
— Our computer imports remained constant in the f irst few years, They are increasing now,
though.
in spite of และ despite เป็น preposition มีความหมายเช่นเดียวกับ although/though แต่
การใช้ต่างก ัน คือ
in spite of + noun = although + clause
despite + noun
