         1. 	English Pronunciation: English alphabets, consonant and vowel sounds,

  word spelling, stress and intonation patterns, oral reading practice focusing on
  words, sentences, short paragraphs and poems.

         2. 	Integrated English skills based on everyday English in various situations:
  greeting, introducing oneself, saying “thank you” and apologizing, giving and
  responding to instructions, requests, and advice, giving and asking for permission,
  giving and asking for information, expressing opinions, giving reasons, etc.

         3. 	Listening and reading comprehension focusing on the ability to:
             a. 	identify topic, main ideas and supporting details of what has been

  heard or read,
             b. 	classify words being heard or read into groups,
             c. 	draw conclusion from what has been heard or read, and
             d. 	use diagrams or charts to present the information extracted from

  reading passages or stories being told.

         1. 	English pronunciation: oral reading practice focusing on paragraphs,
  tales, news, advertisements, short paragraphs and poems.

         2. 	Integrated English skills based on everyday English in various situations
  focusing on the ability to:

             a. 	give and respond to orders, requests, instructions, explanations,
  and clarifications,

             b. 	give and exchange information about themselves, experiences,
  daily routines, various matters and situations around them, news and topics of
  their interest,

             c. 	give and offer help as well as accepting or declining to give help,
  and
