      Pig Latin is the most common language game of English.
Children teach it to one another by some such instructions as: “Take the
first sound of each word and put it at the end, and then add a [e]”...
      One of the most fascinating language games is used by the
Walbiri, who are natives of central Australia. The adults use a secret
language that may be described as “upside-down talk.” Unlike games
such as Pig Latin which distort the phonology,2 upside-down talk distorts 2. ระบบเสยี ง
meaning. In this language all nouns, verbs, pronouns, and adjectives are   (sound

otherwise unaffected. The sentence These things are small means That ความหมาย
one is big; Another is standing on the sky would mean I am sitting on ตรงข้าม
the ground; and They are just beginning means We have come to the
end.
