แสดงความตั้งใจ I’ll do it, whatever you say.
แสดงความเบอื่ ไม่สนใจ It doesn’t matter.
4. การถามหรอื แสดงความคดิ เหน็ เกยี่ วกบั ความถกู ตอ้ งหรอื ความเหมาะสมตามกาลเทศะ
(Asking or Expressing Moral Attitude) เชน่
การขอความเห็น What do you think of his behavior last night?
การให้ค�ำแนะน�ำ If I were you, I would forget her.
การขอโทษ/ยกโทษ Sorry, I’m late.
That’s all right.
การเหน็ /ไม่เห็นวา่ เหมาะสม That’s a ghastly dress you are wearing.
การแสดงความขอบคุณ It was good of you to lend us your car last week.
การแสดงความเสยี ดาย What a shame!
5. การถามหรือแสดงความคิดเห็นและทัศนคติที่เกี่ยวกับกระบวนการคิดและปัญหาการ
ใช้เหตุผล (Asking and Expressing Intellectual Attitude) เชน่
การถามหรอื แสดงวา่ เหน็ /ไม่เหน็ ด้วย เช่น Is that right?/That’s right.
การถามหรือแสดงความจำ� หรือลืมอะไรบา้ ง Have you forgotten your umbrella?
การถามหรือแสดงความเปน็ ไปได ้ Is there likely to be a war?
การแสดงความเปน็ เหตเุ ปน็ ผล His argument was quite convincing.
การถาม/แสดงความม่นั ใจ Are you sure this is Doris’s phone number?
การถาม/แสดงความจ�ำเปน็ หลกี เล่ยี งไมไ่ ด้ This is inevitable.
การให/้ ไมอ่ นุญาต No smoking here.
6. การสั่ง ขอร้อง อ้อนวอนให้คนอ่ืนท�ำหรือไม่ให้ท�ำสิ่งหนึ่งส่ิงใด (Suasion) เช่น
การเสนอแนะ We could go to the theater tonight.
How about going to the theater tonight?
การขอร้อง Can I use your car Monday night?
Could you lend me your car?
การเชญิ Would you like to spend this weekend with us?
การชวน/การเสนอแนะ How about a drink?
การแนะน�ำ (ว่าควรท�ำอะไร) You ought to be careful.
Why don’t you leave now?
