1. ภาษาพูดเกิดก่อนภาษาเขียน และภาษาส่วนใหญ่ที่เราใช้กันนั้นมักเป็นภาษาพูดมากกว่า

2. ภาษาพ ูดส ามารถส ื่อค วามห มายค วบคูไ่ปก ับภาษาท ่าทาง สีหน้า การใชส้ ายตา และน ํ้าเสียง

4. ผู้พูดม ักใช้คำ�สแลง คำ�สบถในภาษาพูด ซึ่งไม่มีในภ าษาเขียน
5. ในข ณะท ี่พ ูดส ามารถเปลี่ยนห ัวเรื่องพ ูดได้ง ่าย ไม่จ ำ�เป็นต ้องเรียงต ามล ำ�ดับก ่อนห ลังแ ละ

Woman: It’s quite easy really (.) everything happens automatically (.) um (.) you get
off the plane (.) and then you sort of like you’re (.) put down this tunnel thing (.)
and you walk out the tunnel thing and you go to the place (.) where you can pick
your luggage up (.) and the luggage comes off the plane it it goes on a conveyor
belt (.) it’s going round and round and round and as you see the luggage going
round you pick up bits of luggage that are yours (.) er (.) then you go along and
you go through customs and you show them your passport and at the other side
(.) um (.) you come out and you can find somebody waiting to pick you up with
um (.) they’ll have a little board thing in their hands you know and you just go
to them and they’ll take you and drop you off at our house (.) ok?
