increase the convenience of operating your own business. You do not have
to think about difficult concepts like office productivity, nor be involved in
discussions on what office automation is all about. If an electronic device can
help you accomplish an important task more conveniently, then acquire it.
That is the strategy you used when your purchased your electronic calculator.
Now apply it to your office.

      Using this strategy, your are likely to find a variety of electronic products
on the market which could improve your business efficiency. The choices you
make need not be complex: acquire a small copying machine so a certain group
of secretaries can make immediate copies without waiting; install a telephone
switchboard with automatic “call forward in” so people can still receive their
calls while visiting another office; buy an electronic typewriter so a secretary
can produce many short letters quickly.

      There are a variety of electronic products on the market, some of which
you already know. Electronics is powerful. Once your office has tried electronic
typewriters, for example, no doubt you will acknowledge their convenience
compared with conventional typewriters. If you have not tried word processors
in your organization, you migth be losing out in an important area of business
